It does not matter where you come from or what..

It does not matter where you come from or what you have been through; all that matters is where you are heading. Louis Chenevert was born in 1958 in Montreal, Quebec. At a young age, he developed an interest in business and entrepreneurship. He knew that if he worked so hard to achieve his dreams he would bare good fruits.

Louis went to the HEC Montreal Business School at the University of Montreal where he studied production management, which is responsible ensures that goods are produced with the best quantity, quality and at a reasonable speed. Chenevert dream was to be the crucial part of a company someday. Louis first job was with General Motors at St Therese, Quebec. A man hired him by the name Guy Hachey who put him in charge of General Motors Assembly line in Montreal.

Hachey was about a year and a half ahead of Chenevert, they both wanted to improve the company. Hachey later became the chief operating officer for Bombardier Aerospace Company from 2008.

Louis was in the General Motors for about 14 years while he then felt that he needed to change to a different industry because he was not at his satisfactory level. Karl Krapek was also working as a veteran in the General Motors Industry and also wanted a change; he convinced Chenevert to move to the Aerospace Industry. Hachey would become the president and Chief Operating Officer of United Technologies Co-operation.

In 1993 Chevert decided to join the Prah and Whitney Canada where they would manufacture engines and would manufacture small engine while p and W to manufacture larger engines. In 1996 he took another major step, he was chosen to be the vice president of PWC from P and W. He used his knowledge to speed up the manufacturing of an engine.

It took about three years the Chenevert was named as the president of PWC. The company was not doing as well as he would have wanted. P and W aircraft were both for the military and civilians. Chenevert then moved to UTC in the year 2006. They made products like security systems, elevators, and escalators.

Chenevert was later the CEO of Ichthys was in the year 2008, he made various changes in the company. In the year 2011, he received a doctorate honoris causa from Canadian business school HEC Montreal. Louis later retired in the year 2014, and he felt that he needed to keep him busy and got into participating in charity events of Yale Cancer Centre where he became the chairman. Chenevert is never tired of wanting to know what else he can do despite being retired.
