[Bosses & Minibosses]





Miniboss 1: Chozo Statue

Location: Crateria
Reward: bombs
Strategy:Steer clear from the bombs it throws out
of it's mouth by jumping over them when they are
closer to the ground. Jump over him when he gets
too close to you, but watch out when he jumps back
before you do. An easy boss, shouldn't be a problem.

Miniboss 2: Spore Spawn

Location: Brinstar
Reward: super missiles
Strategy: Easy win by remaining in a ball in the
left hand corner. This way, the spores falling from
the ceiling will not hurt you, and all you have to do
is wait for the spore spawn to open his mouth. Then,
shoot him with missiles. If you run out, shoot the
spores to gain more.

Boss 1: Kraid

Location: Brinstar
Reward: Varia suit
Strategy: Use the missile or charge beam and hit
Kraid two times in the mouth. He will then rise and
destroy the ceiling. Continue shooting him in the
mouth until he is defeated. Watch out for the things
he will shoot out at you.

Miniboss 3: Crocmire

Location: Norfair
Reward: Grappling Beam
Strategy: Use the charge beam and shoot it inside
of the Crocmire's mouth. By doing this, you will push
him slowly into a pit of acid. After he falls into the
pit, he will come back as a skeleton, but die shortly
after.

Boss 2: Phantoon

Location: Wrecked Ship
Reward: Gravity suit
Strategy: The only time you can hit Phantoon is
when you can see it's eye. Wait for it to show it's
eye, and shoot the blue flames it creates. They
will sometimes give you energy/missiles.

Miniboss 4: Sea Serpant

Location: Maridia
Reward: missiles
Strategy: This boss has no real strategy other
than shooting at it's head and dodging the green
spores it shoots out of it's mouth.

Boss 3: Draygon

Location: Maridia
Reward: Space Jump
Strategy: When you first enter the room to fight
Dragoon, blow out the side capsules that are
shooting white things. Once Dragoon arrives,
let him pick you up by allowing the white spores
he is spitting to attach to you. Once you are in
the air, use your grappling beam to connect to one
of the side capsules you blew out before you started
to fight him. By connecting to those capsules in
Draygon's claws, it will severly damage him. This
will however damage you as well, but if you have a
good amount of energy tanks and full life, Draygon
should die before you are even close to dying.

Miniboss 5: Second Chozo

Location: Norfair
Reward: Screw Attack
Strategy:Make sure to use the charge beam
on the second chozo, because he can defend
missiles and super missiles. Other than
this, fight him like the first chozo boss.

Boss 4: Ridley

Location: Norfair
Reward: Energy tank
Strategy: Use charge beam or missiles to shoot
Ridley in the face. It will take more shots than the
usual bosses, but if you avoid his tail and him picking
you up, you'll be fine.

Boss 5: (FINAL) Mother Brain

Location: Tourian
Reward: Beating the game!
Strategy: Hit mother brain repeatedly with missilies
or super missilies to crack her tank. Once you have
done that, she will take on a new form. Continue
the same strategy until she uses an attack that will
drain most of your life. The Metroid you saw before
in Tourian will now help you, and give you new
special abilities.
